Illustrated History–Lotta’s fountain

Lotta's fountain

Illustrated History is a side project where I tell the stories of hidden history. Often, hidden history has little to no photographic evidence and illustration is the only way to uncover those stories.

This illustration is for a post about a San Francisco fountain that was commissioned by Lotta Crabtree; a young gold rush entrepreneur. After the 1906 earthquake, it served a great purpose. Click on the link to learn more and make sure to follow to learn more hidden history.
